How do we match a host family to our student?

We ask the student’s parents to tell us as much as possible about their child’s interests, personality and preferences so that we can make the best host family profile match, look for a host family with whom they will settle in quickly with.  In this way, we pride ourselves in being one of the best programmes for placing overseas students with the most appropriate host families in Dublin and in Ireland.

 

 

 

What does our homestay student accommodation offer?

At IELA-Dublin our objective is to offer only high-quality host family accommodation.

Each student will have their own room within our personally selected host family homes. A weekly cleaning (linen, towel and laundry) service is provided. Meals are provided on a full board basis: breakfast, lunch (packed lunch during school term) and dinner. A study desk, chair and lamp are provided as standard in addition to use of household facilities, Wi-Fi, TV etc. Smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are mandatory in each host family home.

 

 

How do we select the schools for our placement services?

At IELA-Dublin, we are also parents, and fully understand the personal requirements of each child are unique. We also have extensive knowledge of each school we partner with. In fact, our trusted relationship with each school has been developed over many years of working together affording IELA the knowledge of each individual school and assuring parents of the best possible placement for your child.

Who are IELA-Dublin?

Having lived in Sutton area in Dublin for many years, Nicky and Emer have built a substantial network of professional and personal links including family and many friends, large number of whom are now on their database of exceptional host families. These families live in large luxurious homes in our beautiful coastal communities.  The villages are perfect for nurturing our students in a safe community environment for many years. 

Where we are?

We are located in the heart of Sutton & Howth villages, beautiful and prestigious coastal suburbs of North Dublin, just 20 minutes from Dublin Airport. Our luxury, high-quality host family accommodation is within walking distance or just a quick bus journey of Sutton Park School. We carefully match each student to their host family and ensure all families are pre-screened.

We provide a 24-hour guardianship service to both students and host families assuring parents that our priority is caring and supporting their child on their visit to Ireland. We understand what a vital role guardianship plays in caring for students who are a long way from home. 

 

 

What is an English study programme?

An English study programme, also called a language exchange/immersion programme/ overseas homestay placement programme, is an opportunity to live in a native English-speaking country, study in a school in that country, live with a native-speaking host family and become involved in the normal cultural activities that Ireland has to offer.
